DAY 6 34 TITANS LOST April 3, 2026 - Imperium declares war on WinterCo Coalition
Live updates from zKillboard, Dotlan, and ESI | Day 6 of the conflict | Last update: Apr 8, 02:47 UTCKill statistics since war declaration (April 3, 2026) - Source: zKillboard
Imperium forward fleet attempted to re-deploy to Atioth to contest the follow-up Fortizar timer. Fleet split between KQK1-2 jump bridge and the direct Atioth-side jump. FRT waited for the KQK1-2 half, dropped 140 dreads plus hictor fleet, and killed 3 titans before the Delve-side bridge could respond. The other half of the Imperium fleet arrived in time to watch the explosions finish rendering.
Post-mortem from Imperium Jabber (allegedly): "FC, are you sure this is the right gate?" — "I thought the scout had the ansiblex locked." — "Where are our dreads?" — "They're... still in Delve." — "Oh."
WinterCo response: FRT's KQK1-2 Fortizar timer was the bait. Defenders formed early, staged dreads at a POS out of system, and deployed the moment the first Imperium titan landed on the ansiblex. Total engagement time: 14 minutes. Imperium's titan fleet spent 11 of those minutes in warp.
Running scoreboard for the Atioth theater alone:
The Imperium brought the entire server to Atioth. The server responded by dying. Then so did 31 of their titans. Over 10,000 pilots in system crashed the Tranquility node at 18:30 UTC. The Keepstar never got its core. The supercap fleet never got its win. Asher got a lesson in TZ tanking.
The blob bites back: Peak concurrent users hit 38,605 - about 25% of the entire game population was in Atioth. The server node holding the system died at 18:30 UTC while fighting was ongoing. When the timer hit zero and both sides tried to shoot each other, the whole server "took a dump" and kicked everyone out. PCU dropped from 38,605 to 27,414 - over 11,000 players yeeted from their clients simultaneously.
The aftermath: The Keepstar went down. The Imperium never got a core in it. WinterCo saw the opportunity and started farming titans. The 21-hour battle was, as TAGN put it, "extremely one-sided" - and not in the Imperium's favor. 31 titans destroyed. Meanwhile Asher is explaining to his pilots that "the weather" caused their losses.

Expect intermittent disconnects, TiDi so thick you could spread it on toast, and Goon FCs demanding that CCP "fix the weather" before the next armor timer.

Geminate sov timers resolved in Imperium's favor. War now spreading to neighboring regions. Multiple sovereignty hubs reinforced across WinterCo space. WinterCo shifting to full defensive posture, halting offensive operations against INIT.

The theory making the rounds on r/Eve: Goons can't openly declare war on TEST without it looking like they're punching down at a smaller alliance that just relocated. Declaring war on the entire WinterCo coalition gives them a big scary opponent to frame the narrative around, while the actual first-week military objectives are all in TEST space.
The SOTA declared war on Winter Coalition. The stated target? The "staging Keepstar in Geminate." Sounds dramatic. Sounds strategic. There's just one tiny problem:
WinterCo stages out of completely different systems. The Geminate Keepstar is primarily a TEST Alliance staging point. Everyone who's played this game for more than five minutes knows this.
Supporting evidence from the community:
Listen to the SOTA again carefully. Asher spends 20 minutes building up to "we're going after Winter Coalition" but the actual military target is... a TEST Keepstar. In a region where TEST lives. While INIT is already running ops against FRT holdings in Pure Blind.
"We will attempt to destroy their staging Keepstar in Geminate"
"This is about WinterCo"
"We've never seriously fought them before"
"We will destroy TEST's Keepstar while saying it's WinterCo's"
"This is about TEST but I can't say that"
"We've been wanting to hit TEST for months"

Supporting evidence:
EVE political analysts rating Asher's "this isn't about TEST" energy:
My brother in Bob you literally described TEST's home address while saying WinterCo's name
"FC, the intel channel says we're invading WinterCo. Why are all the fleet warps to TEST structures?"
"It's WinterCo space. TEST just happens to live here. Totally different."
"Asher said to destroy their Keepstar. He didn't specify whose."

The Imperium's war declaration targets Fraternity and WinterCo coalition holdings. Geminate is the primary invasion corridor as announced in the Goonswarm State of the Alliance.

CONFIRMED War declared April 3, 2026. This is not a drill. Full Imperium deployment against WinterCo.
In a State of the Alliance address, Imperium leader Asher Elias announced an immediate full-scale invasion of Winter Coalition space. Target: the Geminate staging Keepstar. All supercapitals, titans, and dreads are deploying. Fleets undocked within minutes of the speech ending.
| Imperium (Attackers) | WinterCo Coalition (Defenders) |
|---|---|
| Goonswarm Federation | Fraternity. |
| The Initiative. | WinterCo Alliance |
| Tactical Narcotics Team | TEST Alliance Please Ignore |
| The Bastion | Ranger Regiment |
| + Imperium member corps | + FRT renters and allies |
Unlike previous conflicts, the Imperium is choosing to attack into WinterCo's timezone advantage. Asher's challenge to WinterCo - "sleeping dragon or paper tiger?" - signals confidence that Imperium can win on unfavorable terms. The last coalition that tried to contain the Imperium (Pandemic Horde's encirclement strategy) imploded spectacularly.
WinterCo faces an unprecedented two-front war: the full Imperium assault on Geminate, plus ongoing border conflicts in Pure Blind and Tribute. Their ability to form across all timezones will be tested like never before.
